Whispers

The lovely picture of the ladies whispering was given as the prompt for this week's Soartful challenge.

I simply took the picture and digitally changed the colours of Adriana Hollenbeck's 'greens and blue' paper and frame.

I can see clearly now ...

Last year I bought a Christmas Patchwork Pals kit from QVC, thinking it would be good for making cards to sell for charity, but it remained untouched. I took the box to Eastbourne in case I felt like doing some crafting - all I did in the end was to stick ovals into a few aperture cards.

So this is one of those cards, with an piece of acetate put between the two layers of the aperture, with sentiment 'buttons' and snowflakes stuck on the front and correspondingly on the inside. The picture of the church is glittered to give a snowy effect.

The pattern on the front of the card continues on the back.

Special Christmas angels

This is for CPS sketch 175:

It's another Christmas card featuring an angel for the July 25th club on BF forum (my 7th card for this month's challenge).

The background paper and surround of the picture is BG wassail; the picture was cut from Dovecraft paper. The strip across the card was a left over from a QVC kit from last year.

This card uses the sketch for Corrosive 72:

Make a note of it

When I saw today's new Penny Black challenge 110: 'anything but a card', I thought what a good opportunity it was to use one of the PB stamps I bought in Eastbourne, called 'cheesecake message'.

I covered the notebook front withha piece of Steffi's tutti frutti, printed the 'make a note of it' on my dymo letratag and coloured the image with copics.

I'm also linking this for:

I saw three ships come sailing by ...

When I saw this week's DCM challenge, 'We are sailing', I thought of some Christmas paper that I've had for a couple of years at least and have never used. I can't remember the manufacturer (would appreciate it if anybody can tell me) - it's a very dark background with silver writing, repeating the Christmas carol 'I saw three ships come sailing by ...'

But I didn't have a picture of three ships, but remembered that I had some photos that had come with a toppers kit I bought ages ago.

So I scanned them into 'Picture it', faded the images so that the edges would blend and overlapped them to form a picture of three ships, which I then mounted on to silver mirror card.

The base card is Sapphire Stardream.

I think I might be making a few more versions of this - now that I've got the blended picture, it's a simple card to put together.

Atm there are quite a few Christmas challenges around, so I'm also linking for:
